Catherine ‘Kit’ Ulrich is the founder of Defend the Fort, CEO/Founder of Coeur Ventures and a venture partner at FirstMark Capital, a top 10 venture fund with $1.5Bn+ AUM. Her portfolio includes Pinterest, Shopify, DraftKings, InVision, Riot Games and many more.
Previously, Chief Product Officer at two multi-billion public companies, responsible for transformational growth: WeightWatchers (WW) and Shutterstock (SSTK). At WeightWatchers, led global digital and retail innovation and experiences across 11 countries and all revenue streams. Launched WW.com / WW apps, online coaching offering and numerous program innovations. At Shutterstock, responsible for product strategy and execution across all of Shutterstock’s offerings and five brands including the company’s move into machine learning/computer vision and creative editing tools.
Kit is sought as a thought leader on product development and an expert on behavior change, cognitive biases, and behavioral economics. She is a graduate of Harvard College: AB in Biomedical Engineering and a Certificate in Public Health Policy as well as advisor to joint MBA/MS degree for Harvard Business School and SEAS.
